Maui

Mom went to Maui with her cousin Barbara!

Co Pilot

Mom has even been the co pilot of an MD11, the actual pilot shall remain nameless. The blue skies of Europe are lovely.

Disney World

Animal Kingdom at Disney World was a pretty cool place.

The Red Bridge of Hanoi

This is one of my favorite places mom has been. The Red Bridge in Hanoi, Vietnam. I love that I got to go with her.

Long Time Coming

This site has been in the works for a long time and still it's not ready.  At first sister and I documented everywhere the ashes had been by writing it down.  Which is not a bad method, if it was just the two of us.  But The Ash Project has grown into something bigger.  First, Sister and I were the spreaders then Amy Randall took them to Teluride Colorado and spread them up on a mountain and after that a good family friend took them out of the country.  That is about the time it started to grow.  I don't think we realized just how willing people would be to help spread ashes.  I want this site to not only honor our mother's traveling ashes but also honor everyone who is a part of this! It's true that I have started the site, got it up and running and pulled it more than once because I wasnt' really happy with it.  This time it's going to run no matter what, because it's time. It's been a long time coming...

A Time To Travel

After the death of our Mom, Navae, my sister and I decided it was time for her to travel! Of course, she traveled to heaven, but we thought it would be very theraputic for us and fun if her ashes traveled the world. Thus, Mecca came up with the Ash Project.

The very first place she went was to the Plano Balloon Festival. This was the beginning of a traveling mom, daughters who moved through their grief and friends and strangers who joined the project.   -Laura
